Could be a # 1769 in the Red Book. Listed as Ball in script over erased PORT. Shown in "the fruit jar works" as 1902 and later.
Crown jars make my head hurt as there are so many variations! the first one looks like a #697 and fairly common but would have to see the tops of the jars. It looks like 2 quarts and 1 pint in...
Bob thanks very much for that. It does seem so odd that none of these labels have shown up, and I'm thinking more of the north American market, but even in the 1950's and 60's in the Vancouver region...
It is listed in the Ohio Bottle Book (2007) under the "Mineral Waters" section, and gives a value of $15-20. The book's prices sometimes can be way off the mark.

Seems like I remember just seeing one at a recent local Bottle Show with the entire label tottaly intact. Although they seem common I always liked them. LEON.
That's some of the cork that's fallen apart over time into the water.
