Yeah that bottle has been on there awhile. I don't think its actually from mississippi but I could be wrong that does happen about twice a year! As to what you said earlier its funny where some of these bottles are found or where they end up.

beith2005, you are the one who got the Crenshaw, I heard it was dug in Vicksburg, the Canton Ice is a hard one to get, I have the Canton Bottling Works hutch, not very many of either around, I have heard stories of other Crenshaws, dug in a dump in Clarksdale, but we both know how stories are, kinda like fish tales.A friend of mine wants a Crenshaw hutch, he has ties to that neck of the woods, if it ever comes time to part your collection, I would be interested, very. I have around 50 hutches, but have somewhat turned my collecting to Vicksburg bottles, being I am from there, and Vicksburg has some great stuff from pontils, to jugs, to blob tops, I could collect my entire life just on Vicksburg. The Property of W E Beck, is a rare Vicksburg hutch, I have one an may know where one is if you maybe interested. I would love to know how Creekwalker finds such great MS bottles up north, I wish I had his touch, I guess some people have it and some, like me just dont.

Conehead , just keep diggin and looking. I have found , as have most diggers, ten thousand plain and historically unimportant bottles to the one jewel. And it is usually broke! Research the area before you make any move to dig or search an area. Search the maps, which show homes, communities , and especially stores from a bygone era. That's the key to success in bottle digging. A little luck helps too!

I have 10 different Vicksburg hutches but I don't have one of those so yes I would be interested in it. Thanks Also I'm trying to post a picture here so it may or may not work if not I'll try again. I'm like you I don't ever seem to find good bottles laying on the ground. They always seem to be on somebody's table and cost too much! Yes you are correct the Crenshaw bottle was dug in Vicksburg. Ms. gal that Hattiesburg bottle is my keeper but I have an extra if you are interested. Thanks.

beith 2005, thank you for posting the picture, the crenshaw is a great hutch, mug base too, cant get much better than that, you must have most of the vicksburg hutches, most are common, to me the beidenharn is over rated, but i guess the history behind it, jacks the price way up, it will be next weekend, but i will check on the property of w e beck and co. hutch and let you know, if you collect crown tops i may know of a canton bottling works, in super condition.

I agree the Biedenharn stuff is overated. Yes I do collect crown tops too. I would be interested in the Canton bottle. I also collect Miss hobbleskirts. I'm looking for a Dec. 25, 1923 Rolling Fork if you know of anybody that has one they want to get rid of? I will take one in any shape I can get it.
