Looks hand blown, what does it say on the bottom? Looks like embossing. It may help?

I dug a similar one that came out of a late 1870's early 1880's privy. Have no idea what was in it. some kind of condiments I'd guess? LEON.

Looks like a British pickle or similar. 1890-1910 or so...

Definitely some kind of food jar. Probably pickles like nh said.

Probably contained pickles. 1890-1910. Looks real similar to mine which has "JK&S" really faint on bottom. Check out John Kilner & Sons, Yorkshire, England
