Cool, Well I paid a buck for it so guess the standard selling price of 40 to 50 bucks will do nicely, just hate to sell it, for some reason it screams to me! Maybe I'll keep just one OP! Thanks for everything Jeff
Thanks GuntherHess, I was reading the same stuff but wasn't sure of myself so good to get additional takes on it and hear what other think. Red (hope red is ok) here are some more pics of the base and neck.
LOL, Thanks a million for the help, I'll get a few more pic's up in a few The embossing is Dr. Wistar's (with the r underlined) / Balsam of / wildcherry / phillada ( undercase a with a dot under it) / blank panel / IB.
Thanks! So smooth base hing mold. I need to look up the years this type was used. Guess what's throwing me off is the seams stop at the base of the neck, has a crude applied tapered lip and the embossing I.B. All pointing to 1840-1860 is this right?
Me again, Here is the second Dr. Wistar's bottle had questions about. Is this a sand Pontil? I.B. (Isaac Butt proprietor 1844-1845) is embossed on this bottle so was wondering if you can date the bottle to 44-45 or was IB used after he sold out? Thanks!
