    How old are you ????

Well If I have to tell then I am older than Harry. and I thought he was old to have so much knowledge. And we can't get bottles as old as all of you as no one came here untill the 1840's. Think Lewis & Clarke got here around 1803 and they probally cast no bottles aside. Okay I am 63 Dave

Seen a post awhile back about bottle repair, in this case I have a Amberina Crute with a inside crack about 1/2 inch long. Real close to applied handle, so I am thinking when they applied handle this happened. At any rate where it is does't seem like it was droped. as the handle would have...

    Creomulsion?

Read a story once that said bottles were dug out of San Fran Bay (some kind of mudflat) and because of the chemical effect of this certain kind of mud the bottles turned to look almost opal. That the color made them more valuable, but most bottles dug are sick glass and not very nice to look at...

    Some Bottle Finds

John, the square with an O inside is Owens 1911 to 1929, don't know what other numbers are for except usually ID a plant or mold. Not to sure on this one but recall that in 1921 anything made outside the USA had to say "Made In" don't know if USA imposed this on itself. Dave

    MacNAughton's whisky bottle

Deana, McNaughton's was still being made in Canada when I was up there a couple of years ago. Canada used to fly the Union Jack before changing to the Maple Leaf. Can't see it but does not sound old and have no reference book to it. Sounds like it might be a fancy bottle that could be used as...
