Green River is a brand of soda pop. I think it's actually still being made, but it's very hard to come by nowadays. It's a deep, artificial emerald green color and as I recall it tastes like sprite or 7-up basically.

Hello everyone-
For the people in this thread that had questions about buying those uncleaned ancient coins:
I have worked on a good many batches of these uncleaned coins over the years. It's a lot of fun, and more often than not you're able to specifically ID most of the coins you end...
I would say that is definitely a piece of an old marble headstone. The clasped hand motif is very common on mid to late 19th century headstones. I wonder how it got there? Were there other pieces of headstones?

Hello everyone-
This is yet another bottle from the group of the group of them I rescued from being thrown out a few years back.
I liked this one because it was the only stoneware (is that the right term for this type of material?) one I saw. It has a stamp on the side of it, near the...
Thanks for the responses.
Capsoda, I don't believe the bottle is machine made, as I looked at all the characteristics of it in detail and compared them to a website full of bottle information, and it appears to be blown in mold, with a cup mold bottom, and a tooled finish. The seams on the...
So nobody knows anything about this bottle? Even what sort of contents it would have held?

Thanks,
Mike
Hi everyone,
Here are two more bottles from the group of them that I got in Vallejo, California, as mentioned in my previous post with the Saxlehner’s Bitterquelle bottle.
These two bottles are both basically identical except for slight differences in the embossing on their bottoms...
Can anyone tell me anything about this particular bottle? It is brown glass (or is the proper term for this color “amber.) From a website that I found, which had lots of bottle info, I believe I am correct in deducing that it is blown in mold, with a cup mold bottom, multiple air venting...
Thanks to everyone for all of the info and help.
I find it pretty cool to be able to find out so much about the background of something like this. The trade card is espescially cool, as you can see what the label that would have been on the bottle looked like. What sort of closure is on the...
Hello Everyone-
I am by no means a collector of antique bottles. However, I appreciate all manner of old and antique objects, and wonder if anyone can help me me with this inquiry.
Several years ago, a friend of mine was renting a house in Vallejo, California. This is a town in the...
