I looked at the high bidders buying history & he buys nothing but bottles. He has paid up to almost $1,000 on some of them, maybe he knows something or just WAY overpays!
Hi Kim & welcome to the forum. I am not an expert like some on here but it is probably a wine bottle. Most unembossed bottles have little value. Maybe someone more informative than myself will respond.
Thanks Warren, Can't blame a girl for trying![;)] I love the bottle & will keep it if no one is interested. It is amazing to me that these bottles have been around for over 100 years old without being broken. They are a great piece of history & are truly undervalued.
Hi Anna, I sent you an email. Wish I had time & the knowledge to dig for bottles (plus the patience!) I know it is more fun in actually finding them. I love treasure! Good luck with your digging...
I have an green/aqua torpedo with big blob top for sale. It is unembossed with one small open bubble, otherwise in great condition. Needs good cleaning. Era 1880-1900. Please email me if you are interested for more information.
I know there are a couple of different shapes of torpedo bottles. The one I have is rounded on the bottom and I have heard it called a sausage bottle. Here is a pic - it has a great blob top on it, but there is no embossing. The bubble you see in the photo is an open bubble, but other than...
I am trying to clear out some of my bottles to make way for new ones. I have a Dr. Thacher's Liver & Blood Syrup, Chattanooga, Tenn, sample size (3 3/8 inch) in this gold amber color (not sure of color names). The bottom has a "c" inside a diamond. No chips or dings. If anyone is interested...
That was a very nice website. I see that you have coin supplies for sale. My 9 year old is collecting all of the new state quarters & has 40 so far. Do you happen to have any holders for those or know of where I could get one?
I was in Union, SC a few months ago & found some bottles there in an antique store in their downtown. I also visited their historical museum & it is really nice for such a small town. I had wanted to visit the ghost town that is not far from there (no buildings left) and look around to see if...
Hi Anna,
My torpedo bottle that I posted the photo of also has the blob top like yours & I was told mine dates 1880-1900. You had a lot of great bottles in that find, hope you get to go back.
