Picked this bottle up at a local antique store. It's about 18inches tall and 8inches wide. On the front it has Milk with a star under it and then 1890. On the back is a cow standing in grass and a star on the base. Anyone have any information on it or what it might be worth?
Anyone have an idea on the age? The bottle has 3 mold seams that go up and stop just above the archs over the monks where the neck of the bottle starts. You can barely see the stretch marks in the neck with just a few bubbles in the glass.
Thanks Joe
I did a google search using " monk benedictine" and came up with this website that showed one like it for sale.

I have a bottle that is very similar to this. All the embossing is the same but mine is amethyst with a longer neck. Haven't been able to find out to much info on it. I googled the address on it and the building where is was made is still standing and is now apartments.
I was considering bidding on it the at the last minute but like you said 70 dollars is alot to spend on a bottle you have no knowledge of it's history. Looks like it would display very well.
