A couple more pics-if any angle view would be me helpful, please let me know. Thanks for all your responses. A theory from a collector down here was it was some type of oil lamp and the flattened bottom could have made it more useful on a boat, etc. The top would have had a metal top with a wick.
Yes, southern Eastern Shore homesite, lots of other bottles, nothing earlier then late 19th century. Very confusing piece. I agree it has more of an art glass look, but top throws me off.
Would love to find out a little more about this bottle. It is approximately 6in diameter on base; 5-6in tall. Does not appear to have any seam. Top looks like it has been cut. Thanks for any info and for the use of your site.
