    Wanted: 'picture' druggists bottles

Re: RE: Wanted: 'picture' druggists bottles I was surprised to see one bottle with such a graphic, and doubly surprised to see there are two different druggists using it! I still do not know exactly what the thing is (Devil? Indian?). When I looked at yours I saw a possible connection. Both...

    Rare? pontiled St Louis ink

Shinn and Sellers in Pittsburg were listed as selling it in the June 15 and Aug 6, 1836 Daily Pittsburg Gazette. Also, I see in the Nashville Union and American (July & August 1853) an ad indicating that there are 100 boxes of Montague’s Balm for the Teeth left (with a number of other...

    Your Best Heartbreaker

I finally got around to doing some research on this bottle, or what’s left of it. I believe the bottle was made for Dr. A. Kendall of New Orleans. You can read what I found here. Has anyone seen a whole one?

Anyone ever see a BIM 1/4 ounce local druggist mold bottle?

Here are some other tiny bottles I forgot I had. The tall one is a druggist, probably a 1/2 oz size. It is 2 7/8" tall and embossed: P. A. RYAN / DRUGGIST / (mortor & pestle) / REDWOOD CITY / CAL. The teal colored one is an ink, or perfume, and is 1 9/16" tall. It is now the...

THE MOTHER OF ALL TEXAS MEDICINES!!

I do not have many bottles from Texas, but I have managed to get some nice ones. You can see three of my druggists at Peachridge on the Daily Dose - August 2013 page under the Sunday, 25 August 2013 heading. However, I love to do bottle research no matter what type or location.

THE MOTHER OF ALL TEXAS MEDICINES!!

I have been helping Ferdinand Mayer at Peachridge Glass with some research on the Texas Tonic bottle. I had first heard of the bottle when a picture was posted to my post at Antique-Bottle.net “What cities are known to have pontiled druggist bottles?†As I collect early New Orleans...

Anyone ever see a BIM 1/4 ounce local druggist mold bottle?

Good question. I have always hesitated to call a "drug co" bottle a druggist. It sounds too much like a medicine manufacturer. However some "drug co" bottle are in traditional shaped druggist bottles and I tend not have a problem with them. Recently I picked up an amber Idaho "drug co"...

I assume you were replying to me and not "Bill". I would love to hear what Idaho druggist have graphics, are in color, or are marked IT (Idaho territory). I recently broke down and bought an amber Idaho "Drug Co" bottle. I usually just look for "druggist", "pharmacist", "apothecary" or...

    Added a local pharm

I have always liked sets of druggist bottles. It is good to see what possible sizes might exist. I have one set from Freeburg Illinois with 8 different sizes. Looks like I should keep looking for some more! My favorite set is from the Barclay drugstore in Cairo Illinois. All but the...
