That is a nice looking flak, but I gotta reask what Hemihampton did. Are you sure it's not a reproduction ? The embossing looks like a Czech mold copy and the bottom looks brand new. It doesn't have any wear on it. I'm just asking, really hoping it is real.
The hutch is a john tretter, the blobs kiehl&keefer, george kiehl, john pontz, ee sprenger, sprenger script, schwende, empire, and a tretter again. Nice dig but all common stuff. most had some damage as well. Just really glad to finally dig some bottles anyway.
I've been digging alot of holes and coming home with just a couple of marbles(that's on a good day). My fellow diggers were starting to think i was jinxed. Well hopefully this is a turn around. Blade and I dug this blob pit about a week ago, just now got around to resizing and posting. Funny...
As some know I collect stuff from Lancaster,PA. I dug a small smasher pit last week with blade and pulled this out of the busted glass and ash. Here is a question for you repair guys. Is this fixable ?
I usually score when I go diving( i have several spots that pay off), but with privy digging. I honestly haven't dug a decent pit in over a year and a half. In that time I've done at least 30 pits.
I don't think your bottle is that old. It looks exactly like the walker whiskey bottles I have gotten off of a sunken rum runner of New York. If it is that old, then they haven't changed the design in like 50 years. my guess is it is from the 1920s.
My digging streak has been so bad lately, I have resortes to buying bottles. LOL [:@]. Here was a very nice surprise, it was still all covered in dirt and sickness. Sitting on a auction self, I was hoping it would go cheap. I guess with it all dirty nad rough looking no one wanted it. I got it...
