I recently found this bottle while diving on an old dump site. It resembles what I believe is called a case gin bottle, however it is smaller and on the bottom it reads "John Walker & Sons Kilmarnock" I know that it is an old Jonnie Walker bottle and am guessing it could be as old as 1870's but was hoping someone more knowledgeable might know better and what it could be worth/rarity.

As mentioned these bottles are very common and we generally leave them on the dump here in Australia and have probably found a hundred or so myself.

I don't think your bottle is that old. It looks exactly like the walker whiskey bottles I have gotten off of a sunken rum runner of New York. If it is that old, then they haven't changed the design in like 50 years. my guess is it is from the 1920s.

I would have thought around 1900 and the bottle still to this day has changed very little in shape with the main difference being a screw cap

I think it's older than that. The name changed from "Walker's Kilmarnock" to "Johnnie Walker" in 1908, so I think this is presumably pre-1908 at least. Also, I've got one from circa 1900-1905, and it has a lot more information printed on the bottom, and yours looks more primitive, so I'd estimate pre-1900 on the one in the photo.
