Etched blown glass vase with white enamel.

Hi Scott, Thanks for the reply. You're absolutely correct, the pattern is applied and the glass is not etched. The pontil may have been ground off but the glass is very smooth to the touch. It does have some texture compared to the rest of the glass, but it is not rough. There is a faded gilt...

Etched blown glass vase with white enamel.

Hi All, It has been a while since I last posted but I'm very curious about this vase. I recently picked it up from a collection of primitive American antiques. While I do not recognize it, something about it feels very old. It is beautiful. It is blown and the glass is light, fairly thin...

Real? Early american blown sugar jar?

It's apparent that this isn't actually a "sugar bowl" based on the shape, but I didn't know what else to call it. To me, the design is most similar to the early sugar bowls with the flanged cover, but obviously the jar shape would not be for holding sugar.

Real? Early american blown sugar jar?

Hi All,I need some opinions on this beautiful piece of glass. It has all the signs of being early american, and it doesn't have the color of a jamestown repro, but I want to know if it's real before I start getting excited. The lid is a set in flanged cover (similar to plate 31 in the 1950...

CAUTION REPRO WAR MILKS & SIGNS ON EBAY

Yeah, I reported him to ebay, and I hope/believe others have as well (he has not listed anything new lately). Someone else in Illinois is now selling a bunch of these same milks... he seems way more legit and maybe is selling them after picking them up at an antique shop somewhere? Either...

CAUTION REPRO WAR MILKS & SIGNS ON EBAY

"From the 60s"? What? Oddly enough when I told him they were not original he claimed he had no clue. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and left 2 neutral pointing out he refunded (even though I doubt I'll see the $40+ he still owes) he then continues to follow up with BS comments. This is...

CAUTION REPRO WAR MILKS & SIGNS ON EBAY

Either it's a collection of repros or he' printing them as fast as he can sell them. I'm under the impression he is printing them... he has played dumb about them being fakes, but he is relatively new to ebay and has sold the same "rare" bottle many times in the last year alone. He also keeps...

CAUTION REPRO WAR MILKS & SIGNS ON EBAY

Negative feedback has been left, I'd rather lose money than have more of these get sold... he sells at least 2-3 a day!! So Frustrating!

CAUTION REPRO WAR MILKS & SIGNS ON EBAY

E: I'm waiting on a full refund to leave feedback, currently in the hole for over $40. Plum: They were both old, one was a half pint, one was a quart. The pint was very worn (and it arrived broken due to terrible packaging), the quart (A midwest) was in great condition on an original, but...

CAUTION REPRO WAR MILKS & SIGNS ON EBAY

Just a heads up to everyone, bought 2 war milks and 2 posters from moantiques2012 on ebay- bought them on a whim since they were priced right but was disappointed when they arrived since they are all fakes. The soda posters he's selling are modern reprints on new paper with new ink, but...

    Interesting Ink?

Hm, Interesting! A "Nursery" lamp? That's a first for me. Thanks Jim.

    Interesting Ink?

Hi All, I haven't been able to find any info on this bottle, has anyone seen it before? I'm assuming it's an english ink (just has that look w. the burst lip), but could it be an actual mini lamp? It is a light green color and near mint. Thanks in advance!!!!

took my camera with me today

I sold one of these to a family w/ Sims as a last name - They fill them up with whiskey and take them camping! I thought it was one of the best uses of an antique bottle I've heard of! Great find!
