SON OF A BISCUIT. That's just my luck guys haha. Ah well, better luck next time. I was wondering if all the bubbles in the glass were for decorative purposes. Thanks every body! If there is some moderator or such watching this post, feel free to remove it or move it.

Straight-sided coca cola bottle? Any value?

So I stopped by this antique shop today and noticed they has a straight sided coca cola bottle in the case. This is the first time I had seen one in person. They were asking $65 for it... The Coca-Cola lettering was on the top of the bottom just below the lip. Is this worth anything...

I picked it up for three bucks. I noticed it had bubbles in the glass, and I liked its design so I bought it.

Ah thanks for the info guys. The bottle itself is pretty beat up, that is true. I don't plan to sell it, I just like to know if I paid the right price for it. It's got the "bottle sickness" Here are some close ups on the variations if ya guys are interested

Oh wow, thanks for the info! The guy I bought it from had it dated around 1860. Also, what is the worth of something like this?

How do you find old bottles in creeks and rivers?

How exactly do you probe a spot in the ground, do you just take a pitchfork and poke it into the ground hoping to hit bottles? Thanks guys, this info helps! Also, I won't go into the water without proper equipment, I appreciate the concern!

Ah, thanks. When it comes to buying I only tend to pick up the ones I like. I looked for hutches and pontils, but no luck. I will keep an eye out however.

I always was curious as to why there are bottles in the rivers. How did they get there? When people finished using them did they just throw them in, or did the dumps dump them into the river? I always found this real interesting and I would like to try a river dig. How do I know where the...

What year were cans? I think this is from the 40s given the nature of the bottles I found it with Oh yea, and the bottom of this bottle says "B 7"
