This is one of the first things I ever dug. I loved it kitschy 50s and kept it on the counter with my other honey jar. Alas, a cat looking for a cup of coffee ended all that. I am unbelievably upset about this. Before:
Here in the STL, this weekend (Saturday anyway) is supposed to be warm and sunny. Nice to see after the last few weeks of cold rain snow and ice. I'm itching to get out in the woods!! Can't hardly wait!
Freed this one from the ground over the weekend. I think finding milks are my favorite. No embossing on this one other than a PD on the bottom. You can faintly see the remains of the painted label in the right light. People's Dairy.
I dug these the other day. Best ACLs / painted labels I've ever gotten out of the ground. I believe this is
a 1955 7up and a 1953 Vess. Nothing super rare, I know. But I love them. I'm terrified to clean and wash the labels off!

Cleaning out bottles tonight, my really good Vess soda was full of roly polys!! And a little food coloring (maybe?) bottle had a spider!! Ugh. I've got the creeps so hard right now, and pretty sure there's a spider on me!!
Ok. Carry on.

Here is a link to the picture, hope it works. I found this bottle in the woods. I know it's not old, I think there's a 73 on the bottom - maybe the year? But I'm wondering what this seal/mark is. I can't find it anywhere. Anyone know? Hope...
