Over the past few years I've been hyper focused on collecting every available bottle variant of the few brands that I collected. Fellow collectors will confirm that once you get all the easy ones, finding that last hard rare one can be be quite frustrating, both on the brain and also the wallet...
I've been trying to collect all of the US variants of the "draped" or "Mae West" bottles of the 1950s. They came out in 1955. Here is what I have so far:
On the left are the standard "Orange Crush" marked bottles and on the right are the ones marked "Orange Crush Drink".
There are various neck...
In 1955, Coca-Cola came out with "King Size" (10oz and 12oz) bottles as well as "Family Size" (26oz).
The "king size" came out in both all embossed like the classic Coke bottles:
as well as the "transition" bottles which had the Coca-Cola script logo in white ACL but still had the contents...
Taking my collecting interests in a different direction so I'm letting my precious Squirt collection move on to the next lucky owners.
There are some versions of the first ACL variants that Squirt ever had, with the black script (instead of red) from the late 1930s.
See ebay user shadeone...

Selling my collection of Nesbitt's Orange bottles. This is (as far as I know after 10 years of collecting) a complete collection of all front / neck logo variations up until 1960.
There are various brands that have small round dots on the neck of their bottles, usually above or on either side of the logo if there is one.
There has been discussion of this on other threads before but I don't think it has ever officially been solved as there are discrepancies with the...
I research the history of a lot of soda brands and it's getting overwhelming so I'm going to offload my Mason's Root Beer related stuff here with the hopes that someone in the future can use this information and compile a good decent history of Masons. There's not really a lot out there... Feel...
If anyone is interested in the actual history and process of ACL bottles, this is from the August, 1950 issue of National Bottlers Gazette and covers a lot!

Looking to part with my Pepsi collection and figured I'd throw it on here to see if anyone wants it all before I start listing individually elsewhere.
They are all ACL. There are some rare ones in there including two red-white-blue single-dots and a couple single-dots with double-dot script.
The...
I've read in a couple places now, that the ACL "Coke" logo on the neck of the 6 1/2 oz standard hobbleskirt bottles started in 1958 on the transition (half ACL, half embossed) bottles, but was only on some bottles and only became commonplace in 1961.
This is the logo I am referring to:
And...
I've come across lots of these little 2.5" glass Coke bottles before and I've noticed that there are various base markings.
I'm trying to figure out some more information on them and see when they came out etc.
The first ones that came out were promotional items from Coca-Cola themselves in the...
OK all you Crush collectors... Need help figuring out some dates and to see if a few of these designs appeared in the 50s or not... My collection stops specifically at 1960 so I'm trying to narrow down which ones I still need...
There are 4 main front logos shown of the clear "Mae West" bottles...
I made a website featuring front and rear shots of all of my pre-1960 soda bottles, organized by brand and then by date. Link HERE
Hopefully this is of use to some people on here!
The 1940s amber "krinkly" or "honeycomb" style Orange Crush bottles were replaced in 1955 by the clear and curvy "Mae West" style bottles. I have found most of the earlier Amber bottles to be easy to date with the exception of this particular logo variation...
This particular variant has "7...

When I started collecting Coca-Cola hobbleskirts, I started by getting one of each of the 5 major variants (1959, "Christmas", Pat-D etc...) since I didn't want to tackle the never ending task of trying to find all the city-named bottles and just wanted a representation of the "evolution" of the...
