I somehow missed posting this with all the other bottles in my collection. It's one of my favorite bottles anyway because of the color, so I'll give it it's own thread.
It was behind a house that used to belong to a doctor.
I assume it contained some sort of medicine, perhaps removed by syringe through the rubber cork?
On the bottom it says Pyrex 85. It is 2 1/4" high.
Any ideas on what it contained?
Rather than make a new post for each bottle that I inherited from my grandmother's collection, I'll just put most of them here.
If anyone wants more pictures of a particular bottle, just let me know.
I'll start with another Schencks, but this one is the usual Pulmonic Syrup, unlike the other...
Looks like this will be my first bottle show!
27 October 2019 (Sunday) Albany, New York – Capital Region Antique Bottle & Insulator Club 23rd Annual Show & Sale, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Polish Communithy Center, 225 Washington Avenue, Albany, New York
This is another one from my grandmothers collection that I inherited. She wasn't big into bottles, but she was a whiz when it came to collecting antiques in general.
I managed to snap a few pictures of it on the porch before the sun went down. I really need to work on my bottle photography...
Another bottle from my grandmothers collection.
This one even has the stopper.
What are those two little pieces of glass rolling around at the bottom of the bottle? Any ideas?
The one on the right I assume is older? It is slightly darker, has smaller lettering, it has two dots under the Dr. (while the other has a line), and the glass is not smooth. What manufacturing process made it rough like that?
I've been going through my bottles that I inherited from my grandmother decades ago, and I thought I'd join up here and share this one first, since I can't find any online that have a label.
Notice that it says Schencks Syrup, without the Pulmonic, which I also haven't been able to find online...
