Okay,...what treasure did we just destroy???

Me again,... Okay, so Elaine is still working this huge dump I've been rattling on about and I go see how she's doing during my lunch break. She proceeds to show me the remains of a bottle that was perfect until she accidently dropped a clod on it. It was a rather tall bottle,...maybe 10...

    To Actually Polish Out Scratches.....

Xcali,......Thats what I'm thinking about! A bench grinder with buffing wheels. From what I've heard (and you've confirmed this as well) it works great. I'va also heard you can take deeper scratches out by starting with 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper,...work up to 3,000 grit,...then to the...

    First Wine Cooler?

My better half found a bottle the other day,....(of course I can't remember what the name was embossed on it) but it was extremely ornate with vines and such. The name and writing was very "vintage" looking as it was sorta rollercoastered like old patent medicines (rather than just straight...

Just took a quick peek on ebay and apparently Bireleys was a soda company,......but these are described as juice drink bottles. As for the value,....doesn't seem to be too high. Maybe a couple 3-4 bucks each. I was just thrilled to find 'em because they look so unusual. Best again, Ken[:D]

    To Actually Polish Out Scratches.....

....has anyone used cerium oxide or diamond powder & oil? Cerium Oxide it what almost every glass item you see has been initially polished with. Seems like it would be a natural to get rid of rub marks, etc. It would also get rid of anytough stains,..wouldn't it? Best, ken

    Arrested for vandalism !!!

Hi again gang,... I'm new here and certainly wouldn't want to offend anyone, but it seems to me that many of you are looking at this all wrong. Just because a property isn't posted, doesn't mean it's okay to start digging. Thats like saying that just because my car is unlocked, you have the...
