are there different ball lids?
the scipt changed on the jars,did they also make matching lids?i never payed much attention but want to get some for those that are missing and so far they all seem to be the same.also,do balll and 'perfect' take the same lid?- dmagave

more weird seam lines
it 'looks' like a 1/4" piece of tape was around the inside of the mold.excuse my novice on molds and glass production,but i've heard mention of finish molds.it seems logical that they could make different finishes on a bottle without having to make an entirely different mold.or, was this mold...- dmagave

I've seen a little talk of interest on this and have always been a little intrigued myself. couple more ohios
clear newer burghoff,gold bond/cleveland sandusky,consolidated bottling co. I could'nt find much on the last two as far as dating.the gold bond is abm but i'm not sure if they had that brand after prohibition.the 'consolidated' is an early tooled crown.anyone have any clues?- dmagave

Got milk? 1890
i bought one of these 3gal. milk bottles 18" tall.has milk,a star under it,1890 under that.my photos are too big,sorry.the reverse has a cow...all embossed.the bottom has a de-bossed star but glass smeared over it.either to look like a pontil or to avoid some TM infringement. i'm wondering if...- dmagave

PRE-1900 MACINE MADE?
i read in colgate history that by 1900 they were using all machine made bottles.i imagine that bottles could've been blown with a seam to the top or am i wrong.i use 1905 as a date for 'machine' made bottles but some meds have a seam to the top but seem to pre-date 1905.this will throw my...- dmagave
