How's the economy where you are?

Bram, I used to live in Maine and get up there when I can to vistit my family that decides to keep living there. They live in Oxford county. Maine is an absolutely beautiful place. Unfortunately, Maine is one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, welfare state in the country. Maine has less...

I messed that one up. I was trying to quote GunterHess. I bet this bottle didn't change once in the entire time it was made.

Fever & Ague Antidote - any info???

Thanks for the encouragement surfaceone! By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. Why do you always have (what seems to be) a random image after all of your posts? Do you look one up on the internet every time or do you have them in a folder waiting to use 'em? Some of them are cool...like the...

Fever & Ague Antidote - any info???

I just read a reference to it from a book about 1857. So I guess it goes back that far.

Fever & Ague Antidote - any info???

I would love to know what kind of top it had. It looks like it could have had a glass stopper that matched the style of the bottle; We didn't find it if there was one. But, then again, I really wouldn't be surprised if it had just a cork!

Fever & Ague Antidote - any info???

Sure thing GuntherHess. They aren't real good though. I took them on the fly, but you are more than welcome to use them how you see fit.

Fever & Ague Antidote - any info???

I'm not real concerned about the value. I'm sure it isn't much, but it has to be at least mid 1860s. All the stuff we found from the bottom of that privy was from mid to very early 1860s. Now, that is not to say that they weren't made exactly the same well after that without much variation. That...

Fever & Ague Antidote - any info???

Hey everybody, We found this bottle a couple of months ago and I have been intrigued by it since. It is clear and in pretty good shape. It says S.HALLENBERGER'S / FEVER & AGUE / ANTIDOTE. We found it in an early 1860s privy. Does anyone have any information about this bottle?

Hey guys, This is our website. I am sure that some of y'all have already seen it, but I wanted to put the plug in for it at the right place in the form. We dig in Memphis, Tn and the surrounding area. We go out most every Saturday and try to have a new Digging Adventure uploaded every week...

10-sided Evansville, IND Blob? Info Please?

Here is a picture of it all cleaned up. You can notice that it has some beads around the neck. I wonder if they are vent hole marks or just part of the design?

10-sided Evansville, IND Blob? Info Please?

Yeah we like to tell our story when we can. We found this 10-sided blob and were pretty excited. We don't know much about Indiana bottles, so we didn't know what we had. I think this one might go upwards of $50. We just don't see many paneled blobs here in Memphis and something like that with...

Where's the post about "Pictured Druggists"?

Awesome! Thanks surfacone. That is exactly what I was looking for. It's funny that you put that picture up, because every time I look up Memphis minijugs on ebay, I always get some type of image like that. LOL.
