thank you for the information. i have had this bottle for over a year. the only information i ever found was an olive green bottle for sale with same markings but listed as a port bottle on a web site other than ebay.
thanks again, john

thank you for your reply. i went back and looked hard but saw no evidence that it is a G instead of a C. i took several pictures but this is the best i could do.
thanks, john
don't wanna start a big tif here I looked up Vreelands in NJ in the U.S. census reports (thats how I date some of my bottles, & just find alittle more history) & the Isaac C. popped up in 1860 - 1870 - 1880. Course I've seen 'em put the wrong initials on bottles before too.

thanks for your reply. i hadn't thought to ck the cenus until after your first reply. with the bottle in my hand i don't see it as anything but a C.
thanks again, john
i thought i would revive this post to see if anyone has any new info. i have since the post gotten another of these bottles in better shape. any info is greatly appreciated.
This link will show bottles from three firms from NJ that had Vreeland in their name. Vreeland Bottles
There are currently 7 bottles listed.
I believe the Valintine & Vreeland disbanded in 1857 and I have I. C. Vreeland operating from 1857 to 1891. Need to get a picture of the Indian Root Beer Bottle!
