I was wondering if anybody knows anything about a small round bottle, embossed: A.C.Meyer& Co (on front) Death Dust (on back). Any help about the company and contents would be greatly appreciative.

Well I can't help you with the contents but I do know the A.C. Meyer was located in Baltimore, MD and they also made Dr J W Bulls, Baby Syurp and Cough Syurp. Anyway that's all I know so hope it's some help

Carmen,

The bottle that you have is listed in the Baltimore Bottle Book as a poison bottle. It probably contained some powdered product to rid insects, rats, mice, etc. I had information on the exact contents but have misplaced it. I will try and dig up a picture of the label that was on the bottle and post it for you.

Matt, the link you posted reminded me of this paper container I have.. squeeze it and a tuft of powder still comes out!

Pyrethrum is great stuff, the natural bug killer of Chrysanthemum flowers.
Natures own weapon of mass destruction.[;)]
