Jeff seemed like a decent guy I met him at a party a few months back he used to do the catalogs for Green Valley auctions. I left a few bids in his sale. Hes only a couple hours drive so I can go pick up anything I win.

I left quite a few bids online, but I really doubt I will end up with anything. There was some great colored pressed glass, as well as some super Pittsburgh pillar molded pieces. Greg, I was on the chestnuts and glob as well!

Jeff is a very trustworthy and accurate auctioneer, and a real nice guy.

I had started to bid on the chestnuts myself but stopped bidding
since I had just got two that I posted pictures of.
Your right, there was a lot of very nice glass in the auction.
There were several pieces of glass that I would have liked to get.

Here's another vote for for Jeff (and let's not forget his lovely wife Beverley) as being GREAT folks. One of the very few auctions where I will bid with abandon without having seen the objects "in person."

So did anyone here manage to win anything? the early New Jersey Chestnut and the New England Glob were very nice. I thought the geometric inks, though common molds went kind of cheap.

I was really tempted to bid on the air twist wine glass (like I need more stuff setting around the house). They had some really nice items.
It was pretty much last minute notice for me. I guess i need to register to get on thier list. How often do they have sales?

I did not know of this auction until I was sent a link
from a American Cup Plate forum member.
With the amount of glass in that auction I would
assume they deal with glass on a regular basis.

Greg,

Green Valley has been dealing nice glass for years. Jeff Evans was managing Green Valley before going on his own. He has quite a bit of experience in this area, and I am sure you will see much more.

Is there a post auction price list anywhere?

By the way, I concur with Jeff about the chestnuts, however, I will say that the base of the smaller one looks a bit different than most New England style examples. It looks like the pontil glass broke off a bit further back leaving a heavy scar. Usually the scar is faint and much more delicate on the New England chestnuts. No doubt about the one on the left... love it!
