I have TONS of green Ball Jars. I've noticed that a lot of the jars have numbers on the bottoms. Single digits mostly. The jars all look the same except the numbers are different. Do the numbers indicate age? Thanks!
Hi Sheila, the numbers on the bottoms of the jars are simply mold numbers. If a mold became clogged or damaged during manufacturing, the mold number told them immediately which mold it was. Kinda mundane, huh? Now, if you have some of those with a 13 on the bottom, get 'em on ebay now before the folks paying big bucks for them figure out they're not worth any more than the jars with any other number on them. -Tammy
