According to the 2nd and 3rd annual reports of the California State Board of Pharmacy, the "Proprietor" J. W. Lomelino re-registered as a practicing pharmacist on May 5, 1893 to May 5 1894. https://books.google.com/books?id=_...age&q=j. w. lomelino san francisco ca&f=false

When were screw caps used?

This sort of bottle was typical from the 1930s to the 1950s. If it's the same J.W. Lomelino then he must have been fairly elderly by the time this bottle was used.

Joseph Wells Lomelino was born in 1853 and was in business as a druggist in San Francisco at this particular address from around 1920 until around 1929. I would say the bottle dates from around 1929.
