Well I've known for a long time the USA NDNR Coke has a bottle in the background on the main field front and back, I have one and it's a taller slender style dated 1966.
Now I just aquired this Canadian one from a friend, it's dated 1966, he has one dated 1965. They are a tad shorter or stubby style compared to the Canadian ones dated 68-69 that have no bottle in the background.
I believe they were very short lived because in Canada they weren't introduced until late 1965 (earliest) but for sure by Feb 1966 as I have the advertisement that shows this exact stubby NDNR bottle.
Then sometime in 1967 the multi diamond can was introduced and the bottle was dropped from the design, I mention this because the bottles seemed to follow the pattern of the cans.
I may have shown this carton ad before but at that time I never took note that the bottles were slightly different in shape from what I have....I sure know now!..lol
