Found this bottle at a partial basement excavation site yesterday.
Amber, BIM, embossed: "Minnequa Water Bradford Co PA"
Flat base, no pontil.
What I know:
• Minnequa Spring was mineral rich and was said to have healing powers.
• Lumber baron Peter Herdic bought the spring and the adjacent land and built a large hotel at the site in 1869. But it burned in 1878. I suspect the bottle may be from this time.
• Tucker's Saratoga-style mineral water book lists the bottle as rare.
Any other info abt the springs or this bottle is appreciated.
