ive had this slaggish hobnail glass for about 30 years...I have shown it to some dealers over the years and some said 100% its a lightning rod ball and some said NOT!!!..Im new to this forum so thank you in advance for your help...Andy
That isn't a known pattern in lightning rod balls, so I'd say it's most likely a lamp part.

Based on the swirled colors, the shape, the hobnail pattern, and the rough ends, I'd estimate this to be from a 1960s table-lamp.
I got a Hobnail Tivoli Soda Bottle from the 1920's.
I don't actually have a 26, I have a 25 and a couple of 28s. I believe the numbers are clear, as is the mold code on them all. I'm not good at photography anyway. Sorry.
