Hope all my bottle hunting friends are doing well. Even though I havent posted in awhile, still been huntin'.
Would love any additional information on this one. Found yesterday on a wooded hillside buried under rocks and dirt.

From my research it might be a half gallon ball jar?? container? The number 10 is on the bottom. The Ball logo seems to be from the 1910-1925+/-. And maybe a wax sealed lip. It measures about 9x5.

Will try to send the pictures as a link. If it doesnt work will try something else.

thats a very pretty ball standard #315 in the red book dating from 1910-1912. fairly common but yours looks like it was never used as no chipping around the lip.

I'm too slow, it is a wax sealer, machine made in those dates and size does sound like ½ gal. It sure came out clean.

Thanks for the help. It was so clean, I wondered if it was authentic?

Is 10 the mold number? Was curious, when Coryea said a #315. Did they use these for canning? So big!!

Not that I would ever sell my mountain of bottles, but wondered what the value might be, if any.

They used these for canning-good size to can tomatoes. The blue color didn't enhance the appearence of the canned food .I have both clear and blue in the half gallon- pretty common.
