wow , nice sale.
Some of the University milks have gone pretty high. The VPI milks were selling at crazy levels there for a while.
I could never really relate to milks.
We still get our milk delivered in glass bottles...not much has changed there, except for plastic caps..
I'm not suprised. Milks can be so very territorial. They can be a hard bottle to figure out monetarily too. Nice price & congrats Ryan!
I sold these two from the Gateway Creamery in Joplin a couple years ago. The Let's Go USA! on the left sold for a little over $1,500 and the one with Uncle Sam with his hand on the soldiers shoulders went for $750. Great patriotic milks but since I don't collect them myself I passed them on to the many that do. []
As for all the disbelievers milks are highly sought after by many people I watched a one of a kind NJ milk bring 4000.00 plus buyers prem. and have personally paid 1000.00 for a local milk.. several NJ milks have brought over 500.00 dollars.. You think in these terms bottler from a small farm buys bottles by the dozen from a small dist. pontiled soda beer bottler buys them buy the gross. what bottle is more rare reguardless of age?? thats my take on it..
