Hello members, I ran across a 1916 SS Coca-Cola script aqua bottle from Keystone Bottling Co. embossed K.B.Co. on the bottom in block letters and a block letter K. just above the shoulder. The bottle is in good condition with a small line of case wear around the center of the bottle. Here is a picture of an identical bottle I found online. Thanks for any help to put a price on this bottle and for any added information. Thanks Kevin.....

Kevin In case you're wondering where your bottle came from, I believe this might be the place. Here's the caption that accompanied the picture ... 1915-1920 B&W postcard of Keystone Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Northfork W.Va. Sold for $310 on eBay.

Kevin, I think I found the article you got those pics from. Some great info about the bottle and the company themselves. Sorry I don't know anything about the value of it. But I would guess more than 5$. If you have pics of your bottle please share.

Thought I recognized that bottle, in fact I own it. LOL! As for where it was used you pretty much have your choice of Keystone, W. VA, Welch, W. VA, North Fork, W. VA, Bluefield, W. VA, Williamson W. VA, and finally Pikeville, KY. The Keystone Bottling Company was a bottling group in Southern West Virginia which though originally based in Keystone, W. VA, had indeed moved to Northfork, W. VA by 1916. All the companies purchased a standard bottle for Coca-Cola, including the one you are asking about, which all of their member plants used. They also have Hobbleskirt bottles with K. B. Co. on the bottom as well.

Don't let Osia kid you, these bottles in excellent shape should bring at least thirty dollars for the clear. It's not like they show up all that often being from a small bottling group from the coalfields of West Virginia. As a collector of bottles from the coalfields I can tell you from experience that they aren't falling off of the trees, and I live here. http://www.tazewell-orange.com/cokeblfd.html

Well, Thank you all for the interesting information. I did not purchase the bottle ( yet ) because I didn't know the value or the history of it. The person is asking 75.00 for it and I may pick it up next week. Morbious_fod, I hope you didn't mind me using your picture, That was the only picture I could find that matched the bottle I am looking to buy ? Thanks again for every ones help. Kevin.....
