Found these with an excavator under 3 feet of frost in western, Mass. Winter can slow me down, but it will never stop me from looking for bottles.

Nice, what's it say on that blob top? Speaking of winter, they've forcasted 14 - 18" of snow over here in Maine tomorrow thru friday.[&:] I'll never get going on that privy dig![&o]

A better look...

"CLARK & ROBERTS"
"BOSTON, MASS"

and

"DAVIS PHARMACY"
"FLORENCE, MASS"

Both bottles dug up in a job site in florence. Cool when you get a true local bottle in a small town like this.

Hey Ron, Sandwiched between northampton and amherst. Two very old towns. I am constantly thinking "Now if I lived 150 years ago, Where would i have thrown a bottle?"

So, what do you think, 1900 or so on the age?

Look to be in nice shape too. Is it just me, or is it unusual to find a blob top on a pharmacy bottle? I figurd it for a beer or soda from you first pic. About the rain, yeah it's staying south of Portland Maine area, we're gonna get buried again.[8D]

Opps! I just realized I had transposed the lables, so the blob probably IS a Boston Beer [;)]

Hey, woody...

Did you ever have a teacher in high school by the name of Roger Johnson?
