This will likely be quite a find for a dump digger. I came across it exploring while my mom was at the casino. If you are from the area, write it down and pass it to your great great grandkids...[]
This is the discard dump for fiesta ware pottery at the Homer Laughlin China Co. in Newell WV. These pieces sell for an arm and a leg new, and just an arm and a couple toes as seconds. The thirds must go here. I find it tough to believe that all of these are scrap, there were many whole pieces. I think that if a batch goes partially wrong, the whole batch ends up here. It is fenced of and security keeps an eye on it to discourage scavenging.
Thought maybe someone would find it interesting, guess it is how alot of the dumps we dig today came about.
