2015 Road trip bottle pickups

that stubby is really common here , I've found a number of them swimming the last couple years although some weren't in that good of condition but there is a lot of them around .I haven't seen that acl whistle before and do agree that 7 oz 7 up is harder to find even though its newer than other 7 up bottles , I found a 10 oz one last summer but wasn't in great condition. I have been to St Jacob's once before is 2 large antique malls there , is some bottles there . also an antique mall in Cambridge and a large outdoor antique market in Guelph on Sunday's if I didn't live so far away I'd go to that one more often as was good stuff there and a lot of vendors . is many other antique vendors and malls around Ontario I've found bottles at I could list if you were interested

Great finds, wonder if the Arctic brand was down south. Dug embossed bottles identical to the tall one, but less the ACL.

RCO you are right, that Stubby is common even out here...same thing so many are in poor condition...there is a Stubby in the same style bottle but in green glass with an inverted triangle label and below it in white lettering is ' GINGER ALE'.....have you seen that one?Probably no point in getting me a list of stores as it may be a long long time before I make it back east. There are a few stores in Vancouver that I never get to, too far to go when you don't know what you'll find...I'd rather put the money into shipping and buy something online. Creekwalker thanks!.....I don't think that brand was franchised south of the border, but I would not be surprised if those bottles show up once in a while in North Dakota and Minnesota.

no I haven't seen the green one , funny I didn't have any stubby bottles or realise they that common till 2013 that summer I found several all in different locations swimming and most still had some of the red label left on bottle , not mint but in better shape than you'd expect for being underwater . but I also found one swimming last summer that had no acl left on it at all .

I'll dig up some pictures of the green one...I still don't have one myself, In the mean time here is my current line up. The second bottle from the left...the brown 10oz squat also came in a 12oz and I think in clear glass ass well. I'm still missing several bottle/label variations but I guess you can't have them all. Here is the green Stubby GA, I think its from 1959...now this is where it gets interesting read the back!...then check out the second bottle picture! [attachment=Stubby1.jpg] I'm still not sure what the Stubby/ Tops connection. This bottles label is off centered. I may have seen it before at some point but never really paid any attention to it till now. [attachment=Stubby-Topps.jpg]
