Then the info I posted is correct, is it possible the 259-8-10 is actually 259-B-10?
After looking very close it is a B.

Here's a link to a My Pic Beverages described as being marked with ...

259-8-10
LA 60

Which could also be a misread and instead be ...

259-B-10
1A60

http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/soda-bottle-vintage-my-pic-beverage-by-seven

If the marks are in fact 1B62 and 1A60, then my guess would be that those marks are style/cavity codes and not dates. Especially when we take into account that Knox Glass ceased operation in 1952-53

If there is a date to be found on the Knox examples, my guess would be it is coded in the 259-B-10 mark.

Or ...

If the LA60 / 1A60 is a misread and is actually 1A50, then its possible those marks are in fact dates ...

1B52 = 1952

1A50 = 1950

If you're confused, don't feel bad because I am, too. But at least the "possible" 50 and and 52 fit the Knox Glass timeframe

If it's 259-B-10...

259 is the mold number
B is for the type of bottle(Beverage)
10 is for ther size, 10 ounces

This according to Bill Lockhart

And 1B62.

Thomas ~

Are you certain the base mark is 1B62 and not 1B52 ... ? Sometimes a 5 looks like a 6 and vice versa.

Thanks

Bob
Will have to take another look when I get home later.
