I am trying to figure out the full history of the A.B. & E. Co from Amarillo, TEX. I have heard they were the original Dr. Pepper manufacturers and have heard that they were counterfeiters of Dr. Pepper.Anyone know the whole story?

The abbreviation doesn't come out as Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Company and it's not in Waco so it can't be the first. There were a lot of bottlers that dealt in ice, saddles and you name it around so Amerillo bottling & something would make sense but I don't know what the "E" would be. There are also some soda types that show they were telephone companies too. I had one of those from up here in Mass.
