Here is an article I thought was pretty interesting. Any New York bottle collectors out there? I've always wanted to go sight seeing in New York. [:D]

Have fun... Been to brooklyn and I must say its way to busy for me. To much chaos to deal with in the big cities.

Hehe, they say that the garbage on the beaches is protected, and the removal of the bottles destroys the historical context.

Perhaps if it was from the 1820s, but the 20th century? Beh. I wonder how good the diving is? Perhaps there are a bunch of crockery items down there worth getting?

I read a book called "Unearthing Gotham" recently. It's amazing how much of New York City's shoreline is filled in. It was getting filled back in the 1800's. If you get a chance to read that book, it would be worth your time.

I will check that out, Beendiggin. That sounds like my kind of book. I haven't checked out the link yet, but I find all of this kind of stuff very interesting!
