A couple Maryland bottles

I don't think either are rare but see if anyone has any info, R. Thompson bottler Hagerstown & a Christian Eckert Ellicott City.

The Thompson isnt rare but hagerstown hutches are always desirable.

hi gordon, nice bottles. i have only seen 1 other christian eckert bottle that belongs to a club member. i do not think it is a common bottle. christian eckert was listed in the 1880 census as a landlord, hotel, in ellicott city. great bottle, rhona

Christian Eckert b. c1845 Wurtenburg, immigrated 1859, naturalized 1871.
1870 living in Baltimore, MD, hotel keeper.
1879 purchased Howard House Hotel, Ellicott City, MD
1891 Judge of Orphans Court, Howard Co. MD
On all the censuses from 1870 to 1910, Christian Eckert is listed as a Hotel Keeper, but as most Germans, he probably had a "house brewery" connected to it.

There are at least a couple different hutches from Ellicott City, I sold a different one a few years ago. There are probably a bunch but I never tried to look them all up.
Do you live near there?

hi gordon, i have been trying to put together a collection of howard co. bottles. i have a couple of milk bottle, 3 or 4 soda bottles, a druggist bottle, and a whiskey flask. i will try to post some pics. when i can. rhona
