Or maybe that should be SNOW & TELL!!.On days like this with the wind howling & moving the SNOW around,it's nice to look back on past digs.
So this is kinda "Show me yours & I'll show you mine" and I've already gone through all the jokes that this brings to mind,so don't bother telling me any!!.
This was one of my first dumps,I dug this in 1970 but at the time only skimmed the surface, then SnakeBoy got me interested in 2003.I thought of this dump right away, course it now had a house & was a private estate, but Snake got permission to dig...............so we did.
The dump was just as virgin as when I first dug it.The deepest we went down was about 10' then we hit water,at one point we had about 8000 discards strewn across the sight.(have pics)
Lots of no-name meds,I think I cornered the market on amber bottles, all kinds of poisons & inks + ginger beers, crocks etc.
Dave.

Here's a few pics of some of our discards.
its always good to take lots of pics, and with the digital age its so easy.
I probably take anywhere from 20-100 or more shots of a dig.

And some more, its interesting how different dumps pan out, some times you just have to go deep, other times you can pick it off the surface.
You new diggers gotta remember to go over every bit of a dump before you start digging, you just never know what you might cover up,Dave.
