Great cap and a very cool bottle! What a way to find them both. I like the cap best, you NEVER see caps that early! And I think it's funny, because the Orange Brewery in Orange NJ used the words "purity" and "strength" as their trademark!

Nice Bragg's, I would have been expecting a pontil, too. Any day you can pull a nice, gloppy Civil War-era bottle out of a 20s dump is a good day.

Wicked blister you got there, but it looks like it was worth it [;)] I pinched my finger at work about a month ago and got a blood blister the size of a grape. I didn't find any bottles, either, so it just p*ssed me off [:D] ~Jim

That pre-pro cap is worth some good money. I'm guessing hundreds. I've got a pre-pro Leisy cap from the Cleveland, Ohio brewery, and got some good offers for it. Still have it.

This pre-pro pocket mirror pictured below from the Leisy in Peoria sold cheap for a Buy-It-Now of under $30 last month. I think the seller made a huge mistake with the buy it now. Should have had an auction. Another (but different) pre-pro Leisy pocket mirror sold for $350 last month on ebay.
