Here`s another one I picked up at an auction today, a 3 piece mold dark olive whiskey with a label for Keller`s Old Bourbon Whiskey bottled by Lee & Osgood, Norwich, Conn. The base matches perfectly with bases found at the Westford, CT Glassworks site, but since it is olive green, which was rarely made at Westford, it was probably made in Willington. The two glass houses were fairly close, and if one couldn`t fill an order either because it was shut down or too busy, the other one would do it, and I believe that is the case with this bottle.
I previewed the auction yesterday and saw it, so I made sure I was there today to get it! A couple other people wanted it because of the label and being from Norwich, a good sized town not too far away, but they probably didn`t know any more than that. It is in very good condition, but the insides need a good soaking to get the residue from the contents out. Even without the label and knowing where it was made, it`s still a great looking crude whiskey!
