Found this milk/cream jar the other day. I cannot find any info on the company.
It is embossed "Golden Eagle Swiss Dairy Alameda" in a circle and "2521 Lincoln ave." inside the circle. Anyone heard of the company?

Looks to be a 1930s 1/4 pint milk bottle. Any glass company markings on the back rim or on the base? There were numerous embossed milks made for the dairies/bottlers once so numerous in the Bay Area. Nice to have the full address embossed, too. Since most diggers won't bother with 1930s dumps many embossed local milk bottles are quite rare.

I picked the bottle up the other day in an antique/collectibles shop in Placerville. It was super cheap and I thought it
was cool.

The bottle has embossing on the back that says
5 1/3 ozs.

Aaron told me that was an odd size. I do not know much about milks.

Dabeel that would be great thanks for taking the time. I am looking forward to see
what you find.

The base has nothing but an older suction scar. I'll post photos of the bottom in the morning.
