I have looked around the internet, and find other Patent Nov 30th 1858 Cross Mason Jars, but none with the cross below the Mason's....the bottom reads Pat Nov 26 67 and the number 446?
Any info? THANKS!

It is pale aqua (not that pretty blue the pic shows, and just about 7 1/2" tall.

Hi Julie,

I saw your little HP COHANSEY on ebay...I hope it does well for you. May help feed your milk bottle habit. [:D] We gotta do what we gotta do to feed our addictions!

The Hero Fruit Jar Company began putting the Maltese Cross logo on their jars about 1882 I think. Actually, the ones with the cross between Mason's and Patent are the more common ones. Ones with the cross above Mason's seem to be a little harder to find. Quarts and half gallons that have the cross on the back are fakes.

Don't have my Redbook handy, but these would probably be worth $5-$7 in aqua, maybe double that with the correct Hero Cross zinc cap in good shape.
