It's a metal plate that's about the size of a playing card. It's got three holes drilled in it and is embossed with "Stromberg-Carlson Tel. Mfg. Co. Rochester, N.Y. Chicago, Ill. I'm guessing it's off an old telephone, or pole??? But I wonder how old? The dump it came out of is full of amber straight sided cokes, patent meds, and local drug store bottles... All I did was scrub it a little with a brush, but is there something I could clean it with that won't damage the metal??? Thanks for looking, Chris Capley
