Green glass bottle, embossed JW Spangenberger in an arch, overSpringfield. It is about 7 1/2" tall, about the size of a 6 oz coke bottle. A large S is embossed on the bottom. No other markings on the bottle. The lettering is all clean, no dings;no dings or chips anywhere on the bottle, but a few slight scuff marks here & there, would probably buff out if tumbled. The inside is clean. The outside shows some slight ?radiance? when turned in the light.
I know pics would help, but they will have to come later, if wanted.
I would like to know about history, scarcity, and if it's of any more than nominal value (realizing that with no pics, any numbers would be speculative)
I am not necessarily a bottle nut, but I do have a small collection of them -less than 100- and range from mid-late 1800's to 20th Century. If The "Hoarders" show came here, they might call me one! If it's old, neat. pretty, unusual or interesting, I will pick it up, play with it for a while, then probably put in my booth.
'Nuff said. Can anyone help with this bottle?
OH! I also have in front of me a similar sized bottle that I can't Google any info on. It is an Ocean Breeze bottle, embossed, with a nice sailboat; name and boat are on both sides. I think this one is a keeper, it's neat! Anyone have any input?
I'm outta here.

402-17-12, 207 E. Main Street, Professional Arts Building; Ocean Breeze, HT-851, 1922. “Refreshing as an Ocean Breeze†was just one of the mottoes of Dr. W.A. McGuire’s light, carbonated drink bottled here briefly in the 1920s.
McGuire’s friend and partner Charlie Branstetter built this two-story brick building to house the bottling works. For those who could remember having tasted Ocean Breeze, it was a delicious lemony drink, not unlike Sprite or Fresca. Tradition has it that the drink might have found a wider audience had not 7-UP come on the scene just as Dr. Mc-Guire was ready to market Ocean Breeze nationally. Currently the building houses lawyers’ and doctors’ offices. FROM

cool just down the road a few miles
That's the place for info, right near it. Library, historical society and better yet the old timers. Not everything is on the net.

JW Spangenberger and Ocean Breeze

JW Spangenberger
I little more certainty would be nice on this and the other. Is this J&W with Springfield, O and is it a true green or just aqua.
Anyway, I got this far so I'm putting this in the soda category and changing the title. I sure hope you post back with pictures.
The title will probably revert back.

I suppose, as light as it is, that it would not be a "true green". That call is left to those wiser and more experienced than me. In this shot, you can clearly see the 'S' embossed on the bottom. And yes, this guy is the one in Ohio, as the bottle says. I will attempt to get better pics of it, along with shrinking the OB pic sizes down.
Thanks for the help.

The size of your pic is great, don't change a thing size wise, try and get it photographed against a less busy background is all...
