Thought these could help clarify age. I dug these nine pontils from a shallow (5 foot brick lined) log cabin farm privy. The Cincinnati Wistar's and Bears Oil were the only embossed bottles. The one like yours seemed like an odd ball at the time, but maybe the others can help date it?

Rob, I have dug quite a few like that in Ohio privies that only date to the 1840's-50-s. I see them represented as earlier by east coast collectors but think they were being made later in that form in Ohio or Pittsburgh.
