I need a little advice with ash dumps. I have found a dump where I have recovered my first BIM bottle but it was a tiny flask and nothing bigger is coming out just tons of ash and shards. I am going to dig deeper but I was wondering about anybody's experience with these? Do you get many whole bottles or did the fire crack/break all the bottles?

powdery cinders but they dont seem to be dry enough to get in the air. If they are dry would they screw up my lungs?

hey erik, dumps are so unpredictable.you just never know what you'll find in them.dig as deep as you can if not producing in that area check with some test holes.its a game of inches and you never know inch to inch whats under there until you dig.when you start finding stuff you'll get a lock on the time frame of your dump.good luck man BADGER
