Some friends and I have been searching the net endlessly trying to identify a bottle featured in a movie. It was dressed up as a futuristic "Johnny Walker" whiskey bottle. Can anyone here identify it? It's been an age-old mystery to us all [8|]

So here are some screen grabs. Appologies if they appear too fuzzy, but these are the best shots we can get:

Hello, and welcome to the forum! Oddly enough, my first though upon seeing that bottle was that it looked like a cleaning product, and the more I thought about it, the more it looks like an ammonia bottle. That's just a guess though.

BTW, what movie is that from??

Good luck!

As with most things in the movies, if it said Johnny Walker it probably was at least made by them if not approved. You can bet it wasn't a Jim Beam.
Here's what was hopefully going to be an aniversary bottle subbmitted by a fan. It's at least a little more detailed I hope.

It looks similar to a Listerine bottle. What movie did this bottle star in? I tried to figure it out by the images, but could not tell.

Yes...the movie is Blade Runner and that bottle has been a mystery since 1982 when the film first showed.
Some have suggested the "Listerine Bottle" theory which has been debunked.
Other's suggest that it must have been a decanter of some kind but they cant produce an EXACT replica.
Just recently suggested is a Bourban Bottle...again...no matches.

Some people have spoken with those responsible for dressing the set's for this movie and got it confirmed that this bottle was a "Found" object...that is...it was an actual bottle that got picked up in some store somewhere, dressed up and used in the movie. No doubt they took multiple casts of it and reproduced it in plastic for other scenes in the movie where it appears without any label at all.

So here is a thought I have had for a while...How would someone go about CONTACTING the headquarters of Johnny Walker Bottling?
I'm not suggesting that they made this bottle but they HAD to have been ASKED for permission to use their name in the movie...Right? Wouldn't they know SOMETHING about this bottle?
