I can't find this anywhere on the internet - anybody have an idea of what it is, and if it's worth anything other than use?

That would be a Pre-Prohibition "back bar" decanter for whiskey. I poked around and found evidence that this brand (plus "Morning Club) was from a firm in Baltimore MD. Value 50-100 bucks.

Thanks! Picked it up for $40 at an estate sale in Dallas, so I guess it's not a bad buy

40 is never a bad buy for Back-Bar decanters like this. Were i trying to sell it on ebay, I'd definitely mention the Baltimore connection and post it at 119.00 or so BIN/best offer and let it sit until a worthy offer rolled in. Now, if ya find yourself an original Jack Daniels back-bar in your travels, you'd be well on your way to funding a new car!
