Pinning it down to a glasshouse is very hard to do. The quart seam sided flasks are harder to find though and I would go with a New England attribute. These were produced at so many different glasshouses and the x on the bottom also adds to the piece. I know a guy who collects these flasks only if they have the X on the base. I believe that he thinks they were produced at New London. A lot of people say Stoddard as well but that has become the term for most utility bottles now days. Everything seems to get a Stoddard attribute. I will say this much it is a very nice flask.

Looks like a nice lighter color in your pics! Appears to have a lot of yellow in it. I bet it glows in direct sunlight.

From my weak picture only perspective it appears to be a late 1860s - 1870s example of a labeled whiskey bottle / flask that was produced by one of numerous glass houses throughout New England and the mid-west (Pa. & Ohio). Color is KING so any amber is limited in value. I like those flasks a lot and in that un-cleaned condition would not want it but cleaned would pay $30 + for it. The quart size is a plus for me as I am looking for that size. Some folks prefer smaller. That said, that is a personal opinion and in no way represents the general opinion.

I have a lot of flask bottles. I prefer the strap side bands and especially when the mold seam goes from one side of the side band to the other one. It is even better when the mold seam is burned on the mold edge, hinting that it was blown in a wooden mold. () uave two lit5tle half pints here with the double ring hand tooled finish. RED M.
